Files are processed on your computer
During normal use, Case Album reads the photos and documents you choose in your browser on your computer. Photos, PDFs, scans, previews, captions, names, dates, locations, receipt numbers, notice text, and case details are not uploaded to a Case Album database.
After the page has loaded, you can turn off Wi-Fi and continue adding files, entering details, and building your preview. Internet is needed when you choose to pay or use an online support or recovery feature.
Supporting documents and packet files
If you add documents such as statements, a lease, degrees, letters or a notice, they are handled the same way as photos: they stay in your browser and are placed into your PDF on your device. In the NIW, EB-1A and RFE organizers, your original files are kept unchanged on your device. A digitally signed PDF is kept as its own original, because an assembled copy would not keep the signature valid.
No AI or face recognition
Case Album does not use AI to read, summarize, interpret or draft your photos or documents. It does not use face recognition, biometric processing or text recognition on your files. It does not decide whether a relationship is genuine, whether a document supports a claim, or whether evidence is legally sufficient.
Dates and locations
When a photo contains readable metadata, Case Album may use its date and location to help organize the album. If a photo has GPS coordinates, the nearest city is looked up on your device using a place list that ships with Case Album; the coordinates are never sent anywhere. Metadata is not always present or accurate. Review and correct every date, location, caption, and name before exporting.
Payment and recovery boundary
When you choose to pay or restore a purchase, the payment provider and Case Album may process the minimum purchase information needed for payment, fraud prevention, receipts, support, or recovery. Your files and project content are not required for checkout.
Backups and deletion
Local data can be lost if you clear browser storage, use private browsing, remove site data, or lose the device. Save a backup when you need a second copy. An album backup can be password protected. A packet backup is a plain ZIP file that is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere private. Use Start over, delete the project, or clear the site data on your computer when you want to remove local data.
Important limit
Case Album is independent software, not an official USCIS product, and not legal advice. No format, preview, or export guarantees approval or any immigration outcome. Review the complete file and follow current USCIS instructions before filing.
