This page explains what applicants are reporting. It is not an official USCIS announcement.
A changed “Response to USCIS’ Request for Evidence Was Received” date does not, by itself, tell you whether your case will be approved. Applicants on Reddit and Lawfully describe dates changing after their response was already received. Their experiences do not establish what happened inside USCIS or predict another person’s decision.
Why people are asking
Some applicants report a new date or a green check mark without a new decision notice. Others report a later decision. A discussion thread cannot tell you whether an officer reviewed your evidence, a system updated a record, or another action occurred. The important distinction is between a changed display date and a new notice with instructions.
What to check now
- Open the case in your USCIS account and read the exact status wording. Check the Documents tab for a new notice.
- Save the new status and date alongside the original receipt confirmation. Keep your complete response, upload confirmation or mailing and delivery records.
- Read any new notice for a request, deadline or decision. A date change alone does not replace those instructions.
- If your response is not acknowledged or you cannot find an expected notice, use the USCIS Contact Center guidance or your account’s available help options. Ask your attorney about any approaching deadline.
Should I upload the same evidence again?
A changed date is not an instruction to submit duplicate documents. Follow the actual notice and the options available for your case. Before sending anything else, make sure you understand what USCIS is requesting and how your response must be submitted.
Keep the waiting period manageable
Keep one folder containing the notice, the evidence you sent, and proof of submission. Write down the original submission date and any later account changes separately. This gives you a clear record if you need help. Case Album can organize the notice and supporting exhibits into a numbered PDF; it cannot check USCIS records, submit your response or predict approval.
